At Ofaami, we strive to provide excellent and seamless booking experiences. This Cancellation Policy explains the terms for canceling or modifying bookings made through the Ofaami website and mobile app. By using Ofaami you agree to the terms below.
1. Cancellation by Users
As a user of the Ofaami platform you may cancel or modify your booking subject to the terms below.
Cancellation timeframes and fees
| When | What happens | Typical fee |
|---|---|---|
| 24 hours or more before the service | Cancel or modify at no charge. Payments refunded in full unless the service was marked non-refundable. | 0% (unless non-refundable) |
| Less than 24 hours before the service | Cancellation fee applies. Fee amount varies by service type, location and the Service Provider's policies. | Up to 50% of total service cost |
| No-show / failure to cancel | If you do not show up or do not cancel in the required timeframe, a full cancellation fee may be charged to compensate the Service Provider. | Up to 100% of service cost |
Late cancellations may reduce future availability or service quality from a Service Provider. Ofaami cannot guarantee that the same provider will be available at a later time.
How to cancel a booking
- Via the Ofaami App: Open the app → My bookings → select the booking → choose “Cancel” or “Modify” and follow the prompts.
- Via the Ofaami Website: Log in → Booking history → open the booking → Cancel/Modify.
- Customer Support: Contact us using the methods below if you need assistance or encounter issues.
2. Cancellation by Service Providers
Service Providers may sometimes need to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergencies, logistics).
- Notification: We will notify you as soon as possible if a provider cancels or reschedules.
- Rebooking: We will try to reschedule with another available provider or help find an alternative.
- Full Refund: If no suitable alternative is available, you will receive a full refund of payments made.
3. Refund Policy
- Refunds for cancellations: If you cancel within the allowed timeframe you may be eligible for a full or partial refund depending on the cancellation rules that applied to the booking.
- Processing time: Refunds are processed within 7 business days after cancellation and issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
- Non-refundable services: Certain services or promotions may be marked non-refundable; these are clearly indicated during booking.
4. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late:
- The Service Provider may shorten the service based on remaining appointment time.
- If the delay causes significant disruption, a late arrival fee may apply and the provider may cancel the booking — in which case you may remain liable for the full cost.
5. Frequent Cancellations
To protect both users and Service Providers, repeated cancellations or no-shows may lead to:
- Account suspension: Ofaami may suspend or permanently disable accounts that repeatedly cancel or fail to show.
- Penalty fees / security deposits: Repeated offenders may incur additional fees or be required to pay a deposit for future bookings.
6. Force Majeure (Exceptional Circumstances)
In events such as natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest or other circumstances beyond control:
- Ofaami may waive cancellation fees when attendance or rescheduling is impossible due to force majeure.
- Refund eligibility during force majeure will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
7. Changes to the Cancellation Policy
Ofaami reserves the right to update or modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be published on our website and app and take effect immediately upon publication. It is your responsibility to review the policy periodically — continuing to use Ofaami after an update means you accept the changes.
